We understand outselves, others, and the world through the conclusions we make. We make conclusions using reason and intuition. Conclusions made by reason take time. Conclusions made by intuition just happen.
We make a conclusion to answer a question:
- Is this healthy to eat?
- Is she trustworthy?
- What car should I buy?
To make a good conclusion, you need to identify meaningful connections. Here is a four-step procedure to help you do this:
- Find specific things about a subject.
- Group the things that seem similar.
- Identify what makes each group similar.
- Conclude what is similar about all of the groups.
